Subject: Follow up information on Thomas DUCKETT family
Thanks to Joy Powney, I now know that Thomas DUCKETT age 42 arrived in =
New York on 12 Sep 1846 on the ship Cambridge out of Liverpool. Along =
with him were Walter Duckett age 2 and Michl Duckett (male) age 36. =20
The federal census of 1850 for Burlington, WI shows Thomas 47 farming, =
Sarah 41, George 28 laborer & Walter 7 who were all born in England.
In the 1860 census in addition to Thomas 56, Sarah 47 & Walter 16 there =
is listed with the family Charlotte Duckett 18 also b. in Eng. There =
are no relationships listed so don't know how Charlotte might be =
related, but both her given and family name are listed.
In the 1870 census there are 2 others listed with the family but no =
Charlotte or George--Michl is never listed with the family. There is a =
Mary Roberts age 15, no relationship or occupation listed and Peter Beck =
35 a farmhand from Prussia.
Hopefully this added information will help identify the family. I am =
anxious to know if anyone can identify Sarah Tincknell Duckett.
